Lake Charles Mayor Randy Roach To Walk The Plank Friday

Pirates are coming to take over the City of Lake Charles this weekend and that means Lake Charles Mayor Randy Roach will have to walk the plank and fall into the murky waters of Lake Charles.

The annual two week Contraband Days festival is coming to the Lake Charles Civic Center and Jean Lafitte and his men and ladies will be taking over the city which means Mayor Roach will be dethroned of his power for the next to weeks.

The tradition has been for the past 50 plus years is that the current Mayor of the city is taken captive by Jean Lafitte and the pirates and is forced to walk the plank. This officially starts the two week festival which is full of carnival rides, food and live music.
