Louisiana High School Sports Hall of Fame Announces 2025 Inductees
The Louisiana High School Sports Hall of Fame announced its 2025 class of Hall of Fame inductees on Tuesday. This group of nine outstanding individuals has shown incredible talent, dedication, and passion in high school sports, making them true representatives of Louisiana athletics.
Every year, the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) and the Louisiana High School Coaches Association (LHSCA) ask school principals and coaches to nominate coaches, athletes, administrators, officials, and others who have made significant contributions to high school sports. A selection committee then reviews these nominations to choose the inductees.
On Thursday, August 22, 2024, the Hall of Fame Selection Committee met to decide who would be honored this year. The committee members included Keith Alexander, Kim Gaspard, Jimmy Anderson, Kenny Gennuso, Eddie Bonine, Kathy Holloway, David Federico, Karen Hoyt, James Simmons, Eric Held, Robin Fambrough, Phillip Timothy, and Ken Wood.
The 2025 Hall of Fame inductees are:
- Michael Boyer - Contributor
- Melissa "Ashley" Aldredge Brooks - Competitor
- Ronnie Coker - Coach
- Tony Lee Cutright - Competitor
- Barbara Farris - Competitor/Coach
- O.M. "Butch" Helveston - Coach
- Br. Martin Hernandez, S.C. - Contributor
- Jennifer Streiffer Mascaro - Competitor
- Ruby Smith Qualls - Coach
These nine individuals have made a lasting impact on Louisiana high school sports. Their hard work and achievements have earned them a place in the Hall of Fame.
