So Tiger fans, this is the game every year we circle on our calendar, the annual meeting between the LSU Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide.  This game is so important to both football programs and usually has national championship allocations, both teams schedule their bye week this week to prepare for this game!  This game is also so important that it has been picked up by CBS and will be televised nationally in prime time.

LSUSports.net released the information today that:

The annual clash between SEC Western Division powerhouses LSU and Alabama will be televised by CBS in primetime (7 p.m. CT) on Nov. 7, it was announced by the league and its television partners on Monday.

 

This will mark the sixth-straight time the teams have met in primetime.

 

Alabama is ranked number 7 in the country in both polls and are 7-1 on the season and 4-1 in Southeastern Conference play (SEC).  Their only loss was to Ole Miss back on September 19th.  Alabama squeeked out a victory over Tennessee last Saturday winning 19-14.

LSU Is 7-0 on the year and and are 4-0 and in first place in the SEC West division.  The Tigers just cam off of a 48-20 win over Western Kentucky.

The game is scheduled to be played in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The contest will be televised nationally on CBS and is set for a 7:00 P.M. kickoff.
