Louisiana Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser will join Mike Soileau and Chad Austin this Friday morning, August 14.

Billy Nungesser is the 54th Louisiana Lt. Governor of Louisiana and took office back in 2016. Before becoming Louisiana's Lt. Governor, he was the president of the Plaquemines Parish commission and held that office from 2006 to 2014.

During his second term in 2010, Billy Nungesser ran for Lt. Governor of Louisiana but was defeated by Jay Dardenne. Billy Nungesser ran again in 2015 after Dardenne didn't seek reelection and won the seat.

On the show Friday, he will be sharing free resources for parents and students as kids return to school with COVID-19 modified schedules. He will enlighten us on the Homework LA program wthat hich provides 1,800 free tutors for students from kindergarten through grade 12.  They will also touch on the Uniquely LA program, which provides free resources and curriculum's for teachers, parents, and students.

Nungesser will also fill us in on the state of Louisiana tourism during this time and give us unique ideas on places you can go to enjoy the outdoors while still practicing social distancing and staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He will also touch on the seafood industry and how Louisiana is helping shrimpers, crabbers, oystermen, and crawfish farmers along with how they teamed up with the USDA to give them some assistance.
