Leesville, Louisiana - Festival season is off and rolling here around the Bayou State, and this weekend features another great festival near the Lake Area. If you're looking to skip town but not travel too far, May Fest will be happening this weekend in Leesville.

Mayfest, a winner of the Louey Award for Festival of the Year, takes place every year in Leesville, Louisiana, with live music, food, and fun for the entire family! Mayfest is held in historic downtown Leesville, and this year it will take place on May 1st & 2nd, 2026.

Festivities will kick off on Friday at 4:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy live music, shop from local vendors, and check out artwork from talented artists. There will also be plenty of food options and fun things for kids to do.

There are lots of things to do when you're not singing with your favorite band, like start your day with a delicious Lion's Club Pancake, let your inner child (or actual child) create a chalk masterpiece, shop for that perfect something from vendors throughout the region, and eat all that festival food!
