McNeese Summer Reading Program For Children Starts June 4
McNeese offers a summer reading program for students in grades two through six. It begins on June 4, and the four week program could prove very beneficial to all children during the time they are away from the classroom.
According to the university's website, the enrichment classes take place Monday through Thursday from 9:30 until noon. The children will participate in activities with a master teacher, and they will even have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a tutor for 60 minutes each day.
For children who need to improve their reading and/or comprehension skills, time spent in these classes can help them to start a new school year on better footing. For children who already love to read or do well, it can help encourage that skill and strengthen it.
The cost for the class is $200.
