MIKE JOHNSON TIES TO LOUISIANA

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson is well-acclimated to Louisiana and its culture. He grew up in Shreveport, went to LSU, and worked as a lawyer before getting into politics. Since 2017, he’s represented Louisiana’s 4th Congressional District in Congress.

Johnson often talks about his faith, family values, and Louisiana pride, saying those things guide the decisions he makes in Congress.

SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE MIKE JOHNSON VISITS SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA

On Thursday, the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office released a video on Social Media showing Speaker Johnson speaking to some of the local law enforcement in DeRidder and the surrounding areas.

In the video, Speaker Johnson is speaking to the law enforcement officers about the recent violence we have seen around the country, including the Dallas ICE Shooting that occurred on Wednesday Afternoon.

"Our hearts are heavy from what's going on in the country. This thing that happened in Dallas yesterday with the ICE officers is just absolutely crazy. Because you have leaders around the country who are basically vilifying the good guys, and are basically saying law enforcement should be the target."
