One of the World’s Largest Cruise Ships to Dock in Texas In 2026
Back in October 2024, we reported that Norwegian Cruise Lines was coming to Galveston, Texas bringing in some ships and building a new port terminal for the Cruise line.
News just broke this week that Royal Caribbean who is already sailing out of Galveston is set to bring in one of the world’s largest cruise ships to the port in Galveston and will have sailings starting in 2026.
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines just built a brand new state-of-the-art terminal recently. This terminal is one of the easier terminals to arrive at, check-in, and get on the ship. We have sailed Royal Caribbean many times and since the new port was built, we can get on the ship in less than 20 minutes from parking to the ship.
Currently, the Harmony Of The Seas is sailing out of the Royal Caribbean terminal in Galveston taking passengers on a seven-day Western Caribbean cruise to the Roatan Islands in Honduras, Costa Maya Mexico, and Cozumel Mexico from a Sunday to a Sunday. They also have the Jewel Of The Seas going out of Galveston offering a nine-day cruise.
Starting in May of 2026, Royal Caribbean will bring in one of the world’s largest cruise ships to the port in Galveston, The Symphony Of The Seas which is part of its Oasis Class Ships. The Symphony will offer six to eight-day cruises to the Western Caribbean, stopping at destinations like Costa Maya, Roatan, Nassau, and Perfect Day at CocoCay.
