Southwest Louisiana will be entertaining a special guest this Thursday, May 6 in Lake Charles. President Joe Biden will be making two stops in Louisiana on Thursday, in New Orleans and Lake Charles.

President Biden is criss-crossing the country on his Getting America Back On Track Tour. He is pitching his $4 trillion dollar infrastructure plan. The tour includes the President laying out his American Jobs Plan, too.

President Biden addressed a joint session of Congress last week to launch his plan before he made plans to hit the road.

Parts of his plan include fixing or upgrading roads, bridges, ports, airports, and transit systems. He also wants to increase minimum wage and benefits.

When President Biden comes to Lake Charles, the I-10 bridge will certainly be part of the conversation and how much it needs to be replaced. Plus, the roads in Southwest Louisiana are currently under construction, especially in the Sulphur and Vinton areas, but more needs to be done.

It is unknown at this time what time and where President Biden will be in Lake Charles on Thursday, but we will pass it along once we find out.
