The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced that the Southwest Louisiana District Senior Games is coming in March and registration is now open for persons over the age of 50.

Registration has now begun and will run through March 4th.  The opening ceremonies for the games will take place on March 10th at the McNeese Recreational Complex and start at 8:30 a.m.

Julie Faye with the Police Jury said:

The Southwest District Senior Games provide seniors over the age of 50, quality events, so they can participate in a variety of athletic, recreational, and social activities, which promote wellness and an active involvement in life. This year’s games includes a variety of events such as softball throws, track races, walks, horseshoes, bean bag baseball, archery, swimming, table tennis, bowling and many more.
