Ronnie Milsap has overcome many obstacles to become the legend that he is today, from blindness to his mother abandoning him as an infant!

Milsap was born in Robbinsville, North Carolina on January 16, 1943.  He was born with a congenital disorder that left him almost blind from birth  His mother abandoned him as an infant and he was raised in poverty by his grandparents in the Smokey Mountains until the age of 5.  Milsap was sent to the Governor Morehead School for the blind in Raleigh, North Carolina.  There his music skills were discovered and nurtured.

Ronnie Milsap has 41 number 1 singles to his credit.  And he will be performing this Saturday at the Golden Nugget Grand Event Center at 8 pm.
