Sean Payton Donates Plasma To Help Save COVID-19 Patients
Coach Sean Payton is doing what he can to help others fight and recover from COVID-19.
Payton donated convalescent plasma at the Blood Center in New Orleans yesterday.
Payton told reporters while donating:
Until there's a vaccine for it, this allows us to do something we think can help...hopefully that plasma can help someone who's been affected maybe in a much more grave way.
According the the CDC website, recovered patients can donate plasma to help fight COVID-19 because their bodies are rich in antibodies that might help fight off the infection. Research is still ongoing regarding its effectiveness.
