We have to say, Dateline NBC did a worthy job in recapping the entire Mickey Shunick saga on their show Tuesday.  But equally fascinating was unearthed footage of killer Brandon Scott Lavergne's confession.  In fact, it's chilling how calmly he describes what he did.

Shunick's disappearance in the summer of 2012 became a regional sensation.  But once Lavergne was named as a suspect, the story became incredibly dark as it was revealed how she was killed and how desperately she fought for her life.

Dateline's highlights of Lavergne's videotaped confession can be seen below.  The guy sounds like he's describing his shopping list.  You might need to take a shower afterward.
