Did O.J. Really Confess? Here’s What We Know.

With the death of the legendary football player earlier this month lots of rumors are starting to float around about whether or not he "did it" here's what we've found so far.

According to the former sports agent of O.J. Simpson, the acquitted double murder suspect admitted to killing his ex-wife while under the influence of alcohol and narcotics.

The former NFL running back turned actor, who passed away on April 10 at the age of 76 from prostate cancer, avoided going to jail in 1995 after being found not guilty in a criminal court of killing his ex-partner Nicole Brown Simpson, 35, and her friend Ron Goldman, 25, a waiter, the year before. However, in a 1997 civil lawsuit brought by the couple's families, he was found responsible for their deaths and ordered to pay $33.5 million in damages.

In his 2008 book, Simpson's former sports agent Mike Gilbert discussed the disgraced of the confession to Nicole's murder.

He continued

"She would still be alive if she hadn't opened that door with a knife in her hand"

said Simpson.

"Nothing more needed to be said," Mike continued. O.J. had told me the truth. I have no doubts at all.

Nicole was stabbed so severely in the attack that killed her that medical examiners believed she had nearly been beheaded. She was discovered in a pool of blood in the fetal position.

The famous "Trial of the Century" saw Simpson's defense attorney, Johnnie Cochrane, utter the famous words, "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit." Simpson's hand did not fit into the bloodstained glove that was discovered on his property the day he was taken into custody on charges of killing Ron and Nicole. After this, Simpson was found not guilty.
