Our media partners at KATC-TV3 are reporting that St. Martin Parish is opting in to reopening bars in the parish. A declaration was issued on September 30th by Parish President Chester Cedars that stated the parish has opted in.

KATC reports that per Cedars, St. Martin Parish at been at 3% COVID-19 positivity rate for two consecutive weeks. This puts them under the requirements for opting in to reopening bars throughout the parish.

Reopened bars will have limited operations, only being allowed 25% capacity or 50 people (whichever is less) on the premises. Bars must also close at 11PM and are only open for people 21 years of age or older. Live music is also prohibited under the State's phase 3 guidelines.

The guidelines for bars to reopen safely can be found here.
