Louisiana State Police Troop D plans a DWI and seatbelt checkpoint tonight from 10 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location of Calcasieu Parish. The mission is to find and remove impaired drivers from the road before they can cause injury or death to themselves or others...

We love to party in Southwest Louisiana and no one is trying to cramp your style. You are just ask to do it responsibly. The purpose of these checkpoints is to make our roads safer. Designate a driver before the evening starts and you have no worries. My friends and I rotate this duty.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is going to be conducting a DWI sobriety checkpoint this Saturday night March 9th somewhere in the parish. It is an ongoing effort to keep the highways and roadways safe.

There are a lot of things going on this weekend. Mardi Gras balls, McNeese basketball games, the rodeo and the Super Bowl. There will certainly be parties. Please don't drink and drive. There will be checkpoints and this is not a jewelry accessorize you want!.

It is the time of year for parties. That means it is more important than ever to be wary of impaired drivers. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office and Louisiana State Police are doing their part to keep impaired drivers off the road.

The message is really simple. Don't drink and drive! Unfortunately the message does not always sink in. The CPSO sends us notice of check points in an effort to curb this dangerous activity.

The 911 call made to Texas dispatchers after a passerby found an unclothed Randy Travis on the side of the road has surfaced on the internet. It’s the latest development in the scandal surrounding the troubled country music superstar, who was arrested late Tuesday night (August 7).

Randy Travis was arrested late Tuesday night (Aug. 7) on suspicion of DWI following a car accident in Texas. The country singer suffered minor cuts and bruises after crashing his car, according to TMZ. His vehicle was the only one involved in the accident. He is still in custody as of Wednesday morning.

Word to the wise: if you’re pulled over for your billionth DUI, the best way to prove your sobriety is definitely not to jump off a bridge. You’re welcome, glad to help.
