So it is finally here football fans. The match up every LSU and Alabama fan circle on the schedule every year! The game is so big that not only will it be broadcast nationwide in prime time but ESPN's college game day will do their traditional Saturday morning show from outside of Bryant-Denny Stadium.

As we draw near one month left on the countdown to the kickoff of the 2015 college football season, preseason rankings for teams begin to roll out. This past Thursday, the ESPN Coaches Poll was released.

So here we go again. Yet another opportunity for the New Orleans Saints to take the NFC South lead. Matter of fact... if the Saints win the next 3 game, they are in the playoffs.

The #1 ranked LSU Tigers took care of business last Friday, beating then-No. 3 Arkansas 41-17, securing their spot in the SEC Championship. The Tigers will play No. 12 Georgia this Saturday. All of the polls were released yesterday, and the Tigers are still #1 in all the polls -- plus, they widened their gap from first to second place in all polls.

ESPN who airs  NFL Monday Night Football games cut the intro to the game performed by Hank Williams Jr. after Jr made some remarks on the Fox Networks “Fox & Friends” Monday morning about President Obama.

The Cowgirls Basketball team has cause for celebration.  They've won the Southland Conference title.  They won their first ever State Farm Southland Conference Tournament, and now they are headed to the NCAA Championship Tournament.  This is great for Southwest Louisiana , McNeese State University, and of course for this championship team.
