Lowdins, who has been charged with been charged with attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, resisting an officer by flight and domestic abuse battery.  Lowdins ambushed Benoit from a closet.  Louisiana State Police have taken over the investigation. On Saturday, the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force will provide free child passenger safety seat checks in Jennings.

A Jennings resident stood his ground last night after police say he discovered a burglar in his home in the middle of the night and then held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

Jennings will be holding its Christmas Festival this weekend, and if you want to be on TV you might want to head down there.  The Travel Channel will be featuring the fest on a new special.
