The stage is set! The McNeese Cowboys will take on the Lamar Cardinals on Tuesday inside of the Legacy Center for the semifinals of the Southland Conference Tournament. Check it out here.
Is it just me or is there a glaring similarity between the way the Cowboys and Tigers lost last night? A strong running game will win some ball games. A strong passing game will win some games; but you have to be able to do both to win a championship. Neither team was able to do that consistently last night.
Northwestern must hate to play the McNeese State Cowboys. The Pokes put together a 35 point first half last night and held on to beat the Demons for the 10th straight time.
McNeese State won it's homecoming despite six turnovers and LSU routed Kentucky last night. Now we wait to see if the Saints can win for the hat trick.
Can the Pokes with the Southland Conference with two losses? The first that that would have to happen is for the Cowboys to win all of the rest of their games. That is a big task. Then there are other teams that will have to lose.
Fans of the Pokes are very excited about the teams 3-0 start. The wins were all impressive and a great way to start the season; but conference play is what really counts and it begins this Saturday.
