Things To Do In SWLA and Lake Charles this Weekend, Dec. 19-21

Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] The weekend is almost here, and for most of you, it will mark the end of working a full week for a while. What we mean is that since Christmas is a week away and then New Year's, most of you will only have to work three days each of the next two weeks.

What are your plans this weekend? Do you have any? If not, and you're looking for something to do, here is what is going on in the lake area.

Flashpoint will be live at the Blue Martini inside the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles. The band will play on Friday and Saturday nights and starting at 8:00 pm and playing until Midnight.

World Ballet Company: The Nutcracker is going to be at the Lake Charles Event Center inside the Rosa Heart Theatre on Sunday, December 21, 2025. The Nutcracker is a family-friendly ballet filled with holiday magic and a timeless score. The show starts at 6:00 p,m and you can get tickets at Ticketmaster here.

Joshua Taylor will be live at L'Auberge Casino Resort inside the L Bar both Friday and Saturday nights. He will play both nights starting at 8:00 pm.

Rusty Metoyer and Zydeco Krush will be live at Linda's Lounge, located on Lake Street in Lake Charles, on Saturday night. Rusty and the band will get started at 10:00 pm and will perform until 1:00 am that night.
