Do you remember when the show Tiger King was a thing? I know, it seems as if that was years and years ago but it actually was March of 2020. As a matter of fact, the Netflix Docuseries was one of the first big stories of the pandemic that didn't have anything to do with Dr Fauci, President Trump, or COVID-19.

The series had everything. It had a murder mystery. It had intrigue. It had name-calling. And it had some extremely memorable characters too. All of this uniqueness came together around a wild animal "farm" situated in Oklahoma.

For a while, the country was consumed by the story of Joseph Maldonado-Passage a.k.a. Joe Exotic, his big cats, his unique relationships and of course his feud with Carole Baskin.

Even as interest in the original series has faded many people are still intrigued with the show's main character Joe Exotic. In fact, many fans of the show were absolutely blown away to learn this incredible fact about Exotic in his days before his time as owner of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma.

Did you know this about Joe Exotic?

Yes, that's a 19-year-old Joe Exotic before he was Joe Exotic. In fact, Joe was once the youngest police officer in the state of Texas. He served as a peace officer in the tiny town of Eastvale. Eastvale is in Denton County, just north of Dallas. Or I should say WAS in Denton County, the town was unincorporated in the 80s.

One former co-worker of Joe's said he served the public by patrolling in a Trans Am that was decked out with a light bar on top that included a blue and green strobe. The former worker described it as looking like a Christmas Tree coming down the road.

The revelation was met with a lot of disbelief and humor inspired shock. But it's all a part of the public record. Now, as far as Tiger King the show is concerned, the premier of Tiger King 2, the sequel to the original series premiered on Wednesday night, November 17th on Netflix.

We figured you'd want to know more about Joe just so the events of the new series will seem even more misconstrued. Enjoy your watching and just remember, it takes all kinds to make a world and it takes even more of those kinds to make it big on Netflix.

I bet Joe Exotic was quick on the draw when it came to speeders in his small town. But I bet he had nothing on these places in Louisiana.
