Tropical Depression Sixteen Forms
Update: As of the 10:00am update, the Tropical wave has now become Tropical Depression Sixteen.
Here we go again, folks! The National Weather Service (NWS) has released information on a new tropical wave has about a 90% chance of development.
The NWS said that an area of low pressure has a 90% of development in the next 48 hours, and that continues for the next five days.
They also said they expect the tropical wave to become a tropical depression later today. They also advised that it is currently moving Northwest toward the coast of Nicaragua.
The system is expected to move into the Northwestern part of the Caribbean sea by Friday, and into the Gulf of Mexico by Saturday.
