It's so hard getting back into the swing of things after a week off. I spent the last week in Georgia and have pictures. Don't worry I am not going to invite you over for the slide show.

The first thing I did was stop and pick up 50 pounds of boiled crawfish to bring to my dad. He grew up in Franklin, Louisiana but does not get many crawfish in Georgia where he now lives(and where I spent my high school years.) So Saturday I delivered and helped eat the crawfish. Monday I headed to Atlanta to see old friends and go to a Braves game. I attended the game with someone who was in my home room all the way through high school (Tom Dukes.) Here is our picture at the game. Note our new Braves hats.

I will say that the Braves won every game while I was in Georgia. They lost yesterday while I was driving home. I offered to become the Braves official good luck person. They could pay me to live in Atlanta and give me season tickets. I have not heard anything back from the team though.

Then I headed South and back to my parents for a few days of R&R. My dad is retired but has a hobby. It's his garden. It's really a great garden and he has put tons of money into it. It would certainly be cheaper to just buy the produce; but there is something satisfying about eating things you grew yourself. My dad is 83 and is the architect of the garden; but my brother in law (Alan) is the person who really works in the garden. Together they have grown a beautiful garden. here are some pics. The first one is my dad.

While my dad has his focus on the garden; my mom's mission was to fatten me up. She did a great job. I think I ate non-stop and I could tell when I had to actually get dressed this morning. Well back to work (yeah right.)
