What’s On the Ballot for the November 4 Election in Beauregard Parish?
The election for Nov. 4 is a huge election day for local, state and federal offices. In Beauregard Parish alone, there are 13 seats to be filled. All state voters will be looking at 14 separate state constitutional amendments. Get prepared!

Parishwide Proposition (10-year, 1 mill tax)
Shall the Parish of Beauregard, State of Louisiana (the "Parish"), levy a tax of one (1) mill on all the property subject to taxation in the Parish (an estimated $240,000 expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2014 and ending with the year 2023, with the proceeds of the tax to be used for improving, administering, maintaining, operating and supporting activities, facilities, programs and services for the public through the funding of the Beauregard Parish Community Action Association, Inc.?
Road District No. 1-A Proposition (10-year, 24.36 mill tax)
Shall Road District No. 1-A of the Parish of Beauregard, State of Louisiana (the "District"), be authorized to levy a twenty-four and thirty-six hundredths (24.36) mills tax on all the property subject to taxation within the District (an estimated $860,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2014 and ending with the year 2023, for the purpose of constructing, improving, operating and maintaining Parish roads and bridges within the District and acquiring the necessary equipment therefor? Yes or No vote.
