Why Does Thomas Rhett’s ‘Vacation’ Credit 14 Songwriters?
Fourteen songwriters are given credit for Thomas Rhett's latest single "Vacation", but only seven people actually wrote it.
So, what's the deal? Did seven people write "Vacation" or did fourteen? I'm a little confused.
Technically seven people did write Thomas Rhett's tropical tune, but after it was finished they realized it sounded a lot like the WAR classic, "Low Rider". So, Thomas called up the "Low Rider" writers and told them he wanted to give them credit on the song.
Classy move, T-Rhett, I'm impressed. Not a lot of artists give credit where credit is due, so it's refreshing to hear that Thomas did the right thing.
What do you think, does "Vacation" sound like "Low Rider"? You can give the WAR song a listen below and decide for yourself.
