Cowgirls Win Southland Title and Advance to NCAA Tournament!

The Cowgirls defeated Stephen F. Austin last night 60-56 to win their second consecutive Southland Conference title. They now move on to the NCAA tournament.

According to the Lake Charles American Press early rumors have the Cowgirls being sent to the regional pod in Baton Rouge, where they are likely to be a No. 15 seed again. LAst season the Cowgirls made thier first trip to the tournamnet and lost in the first round to the eventual national champions (Texas A&M).
