March 2nd is a very special day in Gator Country and throughout the world. This day is Theodor Geisel's birthday. The name doesn't ring a bell? You might know him as Dr. Seuss?

Geisel published a total of 46 children's books, often characterized by imaginative characters, and rhyme. He was known to be quite the perfectionist in his work and would sometimes spend up to 12 months on a project. It was not uncommon for him to throw out 95% of his material until he settled on a theme for his book.
