The thing to remember about all the Joshua Ledet “American Idol” festivities scheduled for this weekend is that they’re all being pretty much made up out of thin air, so that means things change quickly and often.

As we reported yesterday, there’s a better-than-even chance that ‘American Idol‘ star Joshua Ledet will be returning to town on Saturday like the conquering hero he’s become.  First, he’s here in our studios, then a parade, then a live performance at Burton Coliseum.

He’s hit the big time, baby, and he’s bringing it all back home if he makes it through one more week. American Idol favorite Joshua Ledet will be live in our studios this Saturday morning, May 12, during the 8 a.m. hour and there will be a parade in his honor and live concert at Burton Colliseum that same afternoon, but only if you get him through one more round.

Mardi Gras parade routes will be shifting this year, thanks to construction in the downtown area.  The City of Lake Charles and Mardi Gras of Southwest Louisiana released the new route map yesterday.

It’s time to light up the lakefront in Lake Charles, and it all happens Saturday, Dec. 3. The City of Lake Charles will hold its annual Christmas parade and lighting up of the lakefront.  They plan on having a street parade, lighting up the front of the Civic center, holding a boat parade that night and finishing off the night with a fireworks show. Here are all the details on the event:

On Saturday, Dec. 3, it will be beginning to look a lot like Christmas along the waterfront as the city’s “Light Up the Lake” celebration kicks off the Yuletide season. In addition to the annual parades -- one on land and one on water – Santa himself will make several appearances as the city lights up the lakefront for the holidays.
