Waking Up Brain-Dead — How I Had Tonsil Surgery and Almost Went Insane on a Wednesday [VIDEO]
As our listeners may know -- all five of you -- I was absent from the Kris & Scott Morning Show for two weeks after a tonsillectomy. Yeah, it went pretty well. Thanks for asking.
Well, it almost went pretty well. Here's me explaining how I almost asphyxiated to death in my own bed after surgery. I only found out after I woke up and didn't know who I was, where I was or what I was. I couldn't access any of my memories, couldn't remember how old I was and didn't even recognize my own hands. Didn't know my own name. Didn't think to get out of bed because I wasn't entirely aware I was in a bed.
"Wait," two or three of you might be saying, "I thought you went in to get your tonsils out. How does that simple surgery result in almost full-blown and completely terrifying mental insanity?"
Well, funny you should ask... I explained the whole thing to my co-host, Kris St. James, and our guest host, Sulphur Mayor Chris Duncan. I'd tell you in person, but frankly, my throat hurts.
