So last Thursday and Friday was the season finale of the regular season of high school football.  Some teams were looking to improve on their position in the playoffs by trying to secure a first round home game while others were just trying to make it in the playoffs period.

Well there are a lot of teams from Southwest Louisiana who made into the 2015 playoffs. In 5A, Sam Houston, Sulphur and Barbe all made it in the bracket.

In 4A, only LaGrange and Deridder made it into the playoffs while in 3A South Beauregard, Iowa, Eunice and Jennings land in the playoffs.

In 2A it seems like the entire district made it in.  Lake Arthur, Welsh, DeQuincy, Vinton, Kinder, Rosepine and Pickering are all in the 2A playoffs.  The same can be said for 1A for Southwest Louisiana teams.  Oberlin, Grand Lake, East Beauregard, Gueydan, basile, Merryville and South Cameron will be in the post season.

Now when it comes to private schools, in Division II, the St. Louis Saints are in and recieved a first round bye.  They won't play until November 20th against Parkview.  In division IV, Hamilton Christian also made it.

The first round of the Louisiana High School playoffs begin this Friday night.
