2016 Mardi Gras Season Begins With 12th Night Tonight
The 2016 Mardi Gras season officially begins tonight with the celebration of 12th night here in Lake Charles. Twelfth night is a celebration that kicks off the Mardi gras season every year.
If you have never been to 12th night then do yourself a favor and go tonight! Tonight you will have a chance to win big prizes, dance and watch the parade of the outgoing kings and queens of more than 60 krewes.
Some of the fun will also be when you get yourself a piece of king cake to eat and if you find a baby in your King Cake, you will win awesome prizes from local merchants and businesses of Southwest Louisiana.
The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the event begins at 6:30 p.m. inside the Lake Charles Civic Center. Admission is $6 at the door and children 5 and under are admitted free.
