Louisiana - All roads for High School Baseball in Louisiana lead to Southwest Louisiana. With the regular season officially in the rearview, it’s time to look towards the postseason, and on Tuesday, the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) released this year's playoff brackets.

This year's LHSAA Baseball State Tournament will take place in McMurry Park in Sulphur, May 11th through the 16th.

McMurry Park is no stranger to hosting big-time events and has been the home to the LHSAA State Baseball tournament since 2012. The park hosts many events throughout the year, including last year, the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) made a stop at the park, which included games on National Television.

Playoff Formatting

This will be the second year in a row that the LHSAA will use its new playoff format in the playoffs.

Just a refresher, the Division I, II, and III semifinal matchups will be held on campus, and each series of the playoffs will be a best-of-three series. The State Championship series will be the ONLY series played at Sulphur’s McMurry Park.

The Class B, C, and Division IV brackets will continue to play single games, and their semifinal and Championship games will continue to be held at the State Tournament.
