During The Voice season finale, Billy Gilman showcased his pop style with his new single "Because of Me." The song was scheduled to be a Maroon 5 song but coach Adam Levine held back to offer it to his Season 11 contestant.

The 28-year-old offered a ranging vocal performance over sparse instrumentation on Monday night (Dec. 12). It's a love song that relies on his vocal range and once again he had no troubles reaching for and grabbing every high note. Outdoor scenes backed him up as he performed — it was quite a contrast to a music video released before the show started and seen below.

In the music video Gilman is at home, enjoying a cup of coffee as he sings alone. It's a very domestic scene that should appeal to wide-ranging audience. While once a country singer, the former child star is now aiming his music at pop or adult contemporary radio. He's more in the vein of Michael Buble than anyone on country radio.

Still he draws a strong country following, and has been a force to be reckoned with each week. Earlier in the night Gilman gave a stunning performance of Frank Sinatra's "My Way" that kicked off the show. That performance may not have been topped by any of the show's other finalists, Sundance Head, Josh Gallagher and We McDonald.

The winner of Season 11 of The Voice will be named on Tuesday on NBC.
