The unincorporated areas of Calcasieu Parish will be getting their final pass of hurricane debris pickup starting April 12.

To make the process as quick as possible, residents are asked to place their debris in separate piles:

  • vegetation
  • construction
  • appliances/white goods
  • electronics
  • hazardous household waste

Parish officials are also encouraging residents to rake loose debris into piles so it can be easily collected.

Cities and towns within Calcasieu Parish are under different debris pickup contracts than the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. Their pickup times will be based on their specific contracts. Contact your city or town hall for debris removal schedules and information.

Calcasieu Parish employees will ensure all debris is picked up by inspecting each road before the job is considered completed.
