I sound like my mother when I say I remember when gas prices for a lot cheaper. When I was in high school I can remember getting regular unleaded for 89 cents a gallon. If I had ten dollars, I could literally drive back and forth to school for almost 2 weeks without having to make another trip to the pump. This also included going back and forth to work and visiting friends as well.

We always get caught up in situations that seem to directly affect fuel prices when the world is in a crisis.
