Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just a little over a week and a half away?  Well it is and everyone is gearing up for turkey and shopping.  Plus it will be a much needed 4 day weekend!

Well with the holiday comes the change in time with your trash pickup for Lake Charles residents.  Your regular trash pick up times will be altered because of the holiday!

Matt Young with the City of Lake Charles advises us that:

The City of Lake Charles will observe the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, November 26.  There will be no trash or garbage pickup on that day.  Trash and garbage regularly scheduled for pickup on Thursday will be rescheduled for pickup on Friday, November 27.  Trash and garbage regularly scheduled for pickup on Friday will be rescheduled for Saturday, November 28.

All recycling stations, including the Team Green recycling truck, the Nelson Ball Field location, and the Wood Waste Facility (Incinerator) will be closed on Thursday, November 26.  They will resume regular operations on Friday, November 27.

All other services of the Department of Public Works and other City departments will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 in observance of this Holiday, but will resume regular working hours on Monday, November 30.

So make plans to make sure your trash will be out the right days to be picked up!  Eat a lot of turkey, do some shopping and enjoy some quality family time and football!  Have a great Thanksgiving holiday!
