Garbage And Trash Pick-Up Rescheduled In Observance Of MLK Holiday

In honor of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. the City of Lake Charles will observe his national holiday on Monday, January 16, 2017.  Residents will experience changes with their usual trash and garbage pickup on that day and the rest of the week.  The new schedule is below:

Trash and garbage normally picked up on Monday will be rescheduled for pickup on Tuesday, January 17.

Trash and garbage normally picked up on Tuesday will be rescheduled for pickup on Wednesday, January 18.

Thursday and Friday's routes will remain on their regular schedules.

In addition Lake Charles City Hall and all other services of the Department of Public Works, including all Recycling Operations (Nelson Ball Field/Alma Ln, Wood Waste Facility, and Roving Green Truck) will be closed on Monday, January 16.  Regular hours of operation for all of the above will resume Tuesday, January 17.
