Calcasieu Parish Garbage And Trash Schedule For Thanksgiving Holiday

It's Thanksgiving week and everyone is getting ready for a houseful of company and cooking up the turkey.  Also, a lot of people will be out shopping on Black Friday on this upcoming 4 day weekend!

Well with the holiday comes the change in time with your trash pickup for Calcasieu Parish residents.  Your regular trash pick up times will be altered because of the holiday!

Tom Hoefer with the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury advised us:

In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, November 26^th, the following trash collection service will be altered:

 

Both Progressive Waste Solutions and Waste Management customers whose trash and garbage pickup is normally scheduled on Thursday will be collected on Friday, November 27^th. Customers whose trash and garbage pickup is normally scheduled on Friday will be collected on Saturday, November 28^th.

 

All Police Jury departments will be closed on Thursday, November 26^th and Friday, November 27^th to observe the Thanksgiving Holiday. Offices will re-open Monday, November 30, 2015.

So make sure you have your trash cans out on the right day to throw away all your left over food and boxes from presents you buy.  Have a great and safe holiday!
