It's finally Friday long the song says and boy has it been a long week. We have already dealt with severe storms early in the week and more rain later in the week. You are probably ready to throw caution to the wind and get out of the house and do something fun.

Louisiana's own Sammy Kershaw will be in Lake Charles Friday night at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center. He will hit the stage around 8:30 pm that night. Tickets and info can be found on the Golden Nugget Lake Charles website.

The Starks Mayhaw Festival is taking place this weekend in Starks, Louisiana.  The festival dates are set for May 16th 17th & 18th, 2024. On Friday, the festival opens again at 4:00 pm and runs through 10:00 pm. Then on Saturday, the gates will open early at 10:00 am and will close at 10:00 pm.
