Concerts & Events This Weekend In Lake Charles & SWLA Dec. 6-8

The first weekend in December is here and many things are going on to get you into the holiday spirit or get you out of the house to cut loose and have some fun.

There are holiday festivals, concerts, and anniversary celebrations going on for you to choose from. Let's get to it. Here's what's going on in the lake area this weekend, December 6th-8th, 2024.

The annual Holiday House at Christmas Under the Oaks in Sulphur, Louisiana, is coming up this Friday, December 6th, and Saturday, December 7th, 2024. This two-day event is full of great events, live music, carnival rides, and a 100% chance of snow! This event is at 923 South Ruth Street in Sulphur, LA at The Grove at Heritage Square and inside the Brimstone Museum. Click here for the entertainment lineup.

The Golden Nugget in Lake Charles will celebrate 10 years here in Lake Charles on Saturday. They will be having champagne, cake, and live music all evening long.

McNeese State University will be having an 85th Birthday Blowout celebration and concert this Saturday evening on Ryan Street in front of Bulber Auditorium. They will have food trucks, games, and live music as The Flamethrowers will be playing live on stage. It all gets under at 5:00 pm.

Christmas at the Courthouse in downtown Lake Charles will take place from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 6. They will have a movie at 5:30 p.m. featuring the movie  'The Santa Clause'. It will be at the Historic Calcasieu Courthouse located at 1000 Ryan Street in Lake Charles.

The city of Westlake's Christmas Festival will be this Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024. The celebration gets underway at 1 PM with a parade in downtown Westlake that will roll down Sampson Street.
