There will be a temporary location at the library in Moss Bluff this Saturday, September 25 for one day only from 10 a.m.-2 p.m as the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury will be accepting applications for the Hurricane Laura Private Property Debris Removal. If you would like to submit an application, make sure you are at the Calcasieu Parish Public Library, 261 Parish Road.

The program can help those who are eligible property owners in the parish's unincorporated areas and is being managed by Tetra Tech, a contractor of the CPPJ. The final eligibility will be completed by FEMA.

The Moss Bluff location is only open for one day, but the parish will continue accepting applications from 8 a.m- 5 p.m, Monday- Friday, at the Parish Intake Center 901 Lakeshore Drive on the fifth floor and will remain open until September 30.

If you are approved through the PPDR program, those residents will receive help with the removal of debris and demolition of structures that are deemed to be a health hazard. If you would like to be considered and are a property owner, a PPDR application and these specific documentations are being requested.

  • A copy of the property insurance policy, if the property is insured, including detailed policy with cover page and itemized statement of coverage
  • A proof of loss/statement of loss from the insurance company, if the property was insured at the time of Hurricane Laura
  • A COLOR copy of the owner’s driver’s license or photo identification
  • Proof of ownership, such as a warranty deed, tax statement, etc.
