It's back to lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana! The Downtown Lake Charles Crawfish Festival is coming back to the area with a ton of boiled crawfish and live music!

This festival had taken place for a few years in Lake Charles before taking off the past few years but now it's back and better than ever. The Downtown Lake Charles Crawfish Festival has teamed up with the This Is Home festival this year and the Downtown Lake Charles Crawfish Festival will feature live Zydeco music!

The Downtown Lake Charles Crawfish Festival will take place at the Lake Charles Civic Center Amphitheater. on Saturday, April 22, 2023. What is the purpose of the Downtown Lake Charles Crawfish Festival you ask? It is presented by The Eljay Foundation for Parkinson's Awareness, Inc.

According to the website,

All Proceeds of the festival benefit the local Parkinson's disease patients and their families for outreach, support, and education. Held in April, Parkinson Awareness Month, the festival hosts clean, family fun with the best food and Zydeco music.

The Festival opens from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and admission is free to the public. So make plans to attend a great event for a great cause, eat all the crawfish you can, and then dance it off with some great live music!
