The 2021 McNeese football season is rolling on right now as the Pokes have played three games so far this season. They sit at 1-2 on the season.

The Cowboys have only had one home game so far this season and that was on September 3rd against West Florida.  This season, all home games for the Cowboys are being played at noon.

The reason? The lights at the stadium are still really damaged from hurricanes Laura and Delta and they have not been repaired yet. We are presuming that is because of insurance and contractor issues.

Well, a couple of Southwest Louisiana families have aired out their dipleasure about the stadium, the cost to go to the games, and the experience with the weather while at the McNeese football game. They wrote into a media outlet to express their concerns and displeasure.  Here is that article.

So what do you think?  Are they right? Do you mind going to a noon football game?

I support McNeese no matter if the games are at noon or 7 pm. It is just nice to have live sports again after we lost that privilege last year. I do, however, understand these families' concerns too. I am sure they can contact the McNeese Athletic department and they would be glad to address their concerns.

The McNeese Athletic Department has implemented some really fun events for the fans like their McNeese Block Parties every Friday night before each home game.  They are giving the football fan a free fun experience to get ready for each home game.

They have stellar talent and artists lined up for fans to come out and attend the FREE concerts. Artists like Charlie Wayne, Gyth Rigdon, Wayne Toups, Parish Country Line, and the Chee Weez are set to perform during the season for the block parties.
