Lake Charles, Louisiana [KNGT-FM] - Who in Louisiana loves live music, camping, and gumbo? We don't know too many that don't. All three of those things will come together for one great day and night at Jellystone RV park and resort in Lake Charles this November.

Jellystone RV Park reopened this year after being closed for several years due to hurricane damage sustained in 2020, which is something many of us in the area experienced firsthand. The RV park is quickly becoming the go-to place for people in Southwest Louisiana and all over the state to take their RVs and campers and spend a weekend.

The park offers plenty of fun for all ages, with three swimming pools, a country store, a lake featuring an inflatable obstacle course, RV sites, rental cabins, and a pavilion that hosts live music nearly every weekend. Jellystone’s entertainment lineup includes some of the biggest names in Cajun, Swamp Pop, and Zydeco that showcase the best of Louisiana’s music scene.

Coming up on Saturday, November 22, 2025, Jellystone will be hosting a Gumbo cook-off and will also have a live concert that night featuring Ryan Foret & Foret Tradition. The cook-off will take place next to the pavilion earlier that day, and then Foret Tradition will take the stage at 7:00 pm and perform until 9:00 pm that night.

If you think you cook the best gumbo, then enter your team in the cook-off. If you just want to go camping, eat gumbo, and dance it off to the music of Foret Tradition, then book your RV spot or cabin now because it will sell out. Get all the info on Jellystone's website here.
