We made the big announcement this morning that our good buddy, Frank Foster, will be coming into the Gator 99.5 studio this Friday morning on the heels of his big performance this Saturday night at the Marshland Festival.

The country music superstar has a huge fan base here in Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas, and we are glad he will stop by our studio Friday morning.

We will be live on the air and we will also be broadcasting the show live on our YouTube channel, Gator 99.5. During the live show on YouTube, we will give one lucky viewer the opportunity to win a great experience with Frank Foster.

It will include two tickets to the show Saturday night, and the winner will also get to come with me and hang out on Frank Foster's tour bus with an exclusive meet and greet and hang out opportunity.

You have to watch the live YouTube stream for a chance to win.

Friday morning, we will have Frank live on the air talking about his latest album "Good Country Music" and play a few songs from the record. Frank Foster isn't like any country artist you may be familiar with.

Frank is his own boss. He doesn't have the big record deal from the higher-ups in Nashville, even though he has been offered one several times. Why, you ask?

Well, Frank Foster has released 6 studio albums on his own. Two of the albums debuted in the Top 10 on the charts, while two others debuted in the Top 20. He has been the sole writer on every song he ever recorded and released. He owns his own record label, Lone Chief Records.

He has sold over 125 thousand albums and over 325 thousand singles. Folks, that is all on his own with no national recorded company backing him! That is impressive. One of my favorites by Frank is "Blue Collar Boys".

Frank Foster will perform live Saturday night at the 2017 Marshland Festival at 10:30 p.m. inside the Lake Charles Civic Center.

Make sure to join us Friday morning, with Frank Foster starting around 8:00 a.m.
