
New I-10 Bridge In Lake Charles, Louisiana Expected To Open In 2030
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - A special meeting was held earlier this week discussing the the new I-10 bridge project and we have all the details.
The Louisiana Bridge Builders participated in an information-sharing event on Tuesday at the HASC Louisiana office in Sulphur, which was organized by the Health and Safety Council Louisiana and the West Calcasieu Chamber of Commerce.

The American Press is reporting that the new bridge will begin construction in March of 2026.
According to Johnathan Hill, the public information officer for the I-10 Calcasieu Bridge Project, I-10 traffic will remain open on the current bridge throughout construction.

I-10 traffic is currently scheduled to transition to the new bridge on February 2030 and the old bridge will be demolished.
The new bridge will feature two auxiliary lanes for entry and exit, three travel lanes on each side, and shoulders on both sides.
Tolling on bridge travelers will begin on August 2031. Since toll prices are based on the annual Consumer Price Index, final toll rates are not yet available.
