Jace Peterson Re-Signs A New One Year Contract With The Brewers
Lake Charles Native Jace Peterson has re-signed a new one year minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers. The contract also includes an invitation to their Big League camp.
Peterson went to Hamilton Christian Academy where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He also played his college ball here in Lake Charles at McNeese.
In 2011, Jace was drafted by the San Diego Padres with the 58th pick overall. Peterson's Major League Baseball debut came in 2014 when he was called up by the Padres.
Since then, he played for the Atlanta Braves from 2015-0217 then moved over to play for the New York Yankees in 2018. He then was sent to Baltimore in 2018 and played for the Orioles until 2019 before landing in Milwaukee.
In 2020 while playing in the minors, Jace was called up to the big leagues again to play on their active roster where he played in 26 games for the Brewers and made starts at first base, third base, left field, right field, and even second base. His contract ended at the end of the season, and he was without a team until today.
Peterson just signed a new one year minor league deal with the Brewers. He will also have the opportunity to head to the Brewers Big League camp where they may even call him up to the Major League level.
