The LSU Tigers will be taking on SEC West Rival Alabama on Saturday in Tuscaloosa and LSU Quarterback Jayden Daniels could be eyeing some very prestigious company if he and the Tigers can beat the Crimson Tide for the second year in a row.

Last season was one of those games that most LSU fans won't forget, at least not for a while. They'll always remember just where they were the day Brian Kelly decided to go for the win in Overtime and was successful. In that game in 2022, Daniels put together an outstanding performance when he led LSU to a 32-31 victory over Alabama in overtime. He threw for 182 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also ran 18 times for 95 yards and a TD.

Jayden Daniels, a transfer from Arizona State, has a chance to do something that no one has ever done. Beat Nick Saban twice for the first time during his 17-year stint as the Head Coach at Alabama.

Per NOLA.com, the last college quarterback to beat a Saban-coached team in consecutive seasons is former Florida star Rex Grossman, who led the Gators to back-to-back wins over LSU in 2000-01.

Daniels can join some pretty impressive company if he is able to beat Saban and the Tide as Drew Brees, who played his college ball at Purdue, beat Saban's Michigan State team in consecutive seasons in 1998 and 1999, throwing for a total of seven touchdowns in the two games.

The only QB's to beat Saban multiple times are Penn State's Wally Richardson, Purdue's Drew Brees, Florida's Rex Grossman, and Auburn's Jason Campbell.
