Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - Last month, we broke the news to you that country music's Joe Nichols is headed to Southwest Louisiana in December for a big holiday show. Joe will be performing a big show right here in Lake Charles that you don't want to miss.

The 49-year-old singer from Arkansas will be making a stop here in the Lake Area and bringing his big hits with him. Nichols started in Nashville in 1996, but didn't see his first big record until he released the song The Impossible, which climbed to number three on the Billboard Country charts.

His second release that saw success was a song called Brokenheartsville. That song actually has ties to Southwest Louisiana. One of the songwriters on that record is Randy Boudreaux, who is from Iowa, Louisiana. Boudreaux penned that song along with songwriters Donny Kees, Blake Mevis, and Clint Daniels. Remember that song?

Joe Nichols will be stopping by Monday morning, November 17th, 2025, and visit with Mike & Scotty right here on Gator 99.5. I plan to ask Joe about his ties to Southwest Louisiana with his song Boudreaux, which he helped write. We will also talk about his upcoming show here in Lake Charles.

Joe Nichols is set to perform live on Friday, December 5th, for the Cowboy Christmas at Le Bocage. The event is at the Stables at Le Bocage in Lake Charles and will feature local vendors where you can do some shopping at a holiday market. Your kids and your family can also meet the Southern Santa and take a holiday photo.

The icing on the cake is that Joe Nicholls will perform live at the event too. Tickets are now available on the Le Bocage website here.
