You get up Thanksgiving morning, put on your stretchy pants for the day, and get ready for a day of over eating. Next on your list? Well, it's football of course. For years the Cowboys have played on Thanksgiving day, and statistically have won more than lost in their history of these games.

It is also a tradition for the Salvation Army to start up their Red Kettle Campaign and, for the last 23 years, a country artist to play during the halftime show. This year, Kane Brown will be added to that list of country stars to perform during halftime during the late afternoon game. He will be joining in the tradition of artists that have played there before him: Reba, Clint Black, Randy Travis, Eric Church, and many more.

Although this year is much different than the past, keeping up this tradition seems important to Brown and to promote the Salvation Army's Red Kettle. Last year the little red kettle and its bell ringers raised $126 million dollars for the Salvation Army. With times the way they are, only time will tell if 2020 will be just as good of a year.

The Cowboys will kick off at 3:30pm against the Washington Football Team on Fox. Let's just hope he doesn't get lost on his way to the show.
